Manly Library Photography Competition: Rules, Terms and Conditions
All participants in the Manly Library Photography Competition (The Contest) must read the terms of conditions before submitting any photos.
Eligibility
The Manly Library “found…in Manly” Photography Competition is open to all photographers between the ages of 12 and 20; except employees of Manly Library and the immediate families of such employees. All photographs must be the original work taken by the submitting photographer. Only photograph(s) submitted that have been shot during 2011 will be considered.
Theme
Photographs must be taken within the Manly Local Government area. We would encourage entrants to be creative with regards to their subject matter and theme.
Subject authorisation
Any person appearing in photographs must give consent for their involvement.
Your Rights
You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit; including ownership if applicable with the exception of those rights outlinedas follows: By entering the contest you hereby grant Manly Library (i) a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publically display and publically perform the photographs you submit for the purposes of promoting the competition and exhibition, and (ii) a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce and distribute your photographs in a Manly Library published zine about the competition as well as other local publications and (iii) right to use your name in promotions and other council related publications. All necessary acknowledgements of authorship will be made.
How to Enter
To enter fill out the online registration form and return the form to Manly Library in person; via email or post to:

Then upload your images (up to 5) to Manly Library's “Bush to Beach photography competition" Flickr account. Please tag your images with B2B2011 and your initials (e.g. B2B2011, LM). It is essential that you include a title for your photograph in the Title Field. If it is the first time that you have used Flickr please refer to the uploading guide!
Eligibility and Judging
All photos submitted must be original photographs taken by the individual entering the contest no earlier than January 2011. To ensure the eligibility for the contest, entries must be full size images with a resolution suitable for printing to A4 size @300 dpi, (minimum camera used to create this will be 5 mega pixels). Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. Manly Library and Manly |Photoworld staff shall determine winner eligibility in their sole and absolute discretion. All decisions made by the judges will be final.
Final Submission Date
Entrants must have their image submitted between 9am, Thursday 1st of September and 5pm, Friday 16th September 2011
Manly Library reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of changes beyond its control
